A Clinical Report of IVF+ET Program in II Sin Christian Hospital

Abstract
|
|
|
Between Jun. 1991 and Dec. 1994, 77 treatment cycles were given to 56 patients whose infertility was due to tubal factors.
Ovulation induction was done by gonadotropin (FSH+HMG+HCG) alone or combined gonadotropin and GnRH-a.
Ovum retrieval was performed under T-V ultrasonography in 68(88.3%) cycles. Of those embryo transfer (ET) was done in 64 (94.1%) cycles.
In 15 cycles, the HCG was positive at 11-12 days after ET.
So overall pregnancy rate was 15/77(19.5%) per treatment cycle, 15(68(22.0%) per retrieval cycle and 15/64(23.4%) per embryo transfer cycle.
The outcome of the overall 15 pregnancies was 5 chemical pregnancies, 2 ectopic pregnancies and 8 clinical pregnancies of which 2 were clinical abortions, 2 are on going pregnancies and 4 were fullterm deliveries. Therefore the clinical pregnancy
rate
per ET cycle was 8/64(12.5%).
